CHLOROQUINE RESISTANCE STUDY IN NORTH BENIN (IN VIVO TESTS)
E.C. Comlanvi, R. Josse, J. Foundohou, B. Helynck & M. Akogbeto

SUMMARY
The authors report on the results of 4 surveys carried out in North Bénin in the context of the surveillance of chloroquine resistance using in vivo tests. Within these regions, at least three strains out of four of Plasmodium falciparum are on average still sensitive to chloroquine, which still justifies its use in the presumptive treatment of febrile attacks in Atacora and Borgou.
