T.W. Freeman & S.K. Chandiwana
SUMMARY
This paper presents the results of an analysis of the 1991 National Malaria Prevalence Survey in relationship to altitude and temperature in Zimbabwe.
Four malaria prevalence surveys have been conducted country-wide during 1983, 1987, 1991 and 1993. Of these surveys, only the results for 1983 have been published. Only the raw data
for the 1991 survey were available for the analyses described in this paper.
The paper identifies pitfalls in large scale prevalence surveys and the difficulty in analyzing
the data collected.
